Simple steps to help you get the most out of every Gleamr visit.

At Gleamr, we believe a great cleaning experience begins with clear expectations and a little preparation.

You don't need to clean your home before we arrive. That's our job!

We simply ask that your home is ready to be cleaned. A few small steps help our team spend less time moving belongings and more time doing what you hired us to do: giving your home the professional attention it deserves.

Please pick up clothing, toys, shoes, personal items, and other belongings from floors and surfaces scheduled for cleaning.

You don't need to scrub, dust, vacuum, or mop anything beforehand. We just ask that areas be reasonably clear and accessible.

Why this matters: Our cleaning appointments are scheduled around the time needed to clean your home, not to organize it. When surfaces and floors are accessible, we can dedicate more time to cleaning them thoroughly.

We're happy to change your bed linens when this is included in your scheduled service.

If you'd like fresh bedding, please leave a complete, clean set of sheets, pillowcases, and any other necessary linens at the foot of each bed.

To maintain hygiene and efficiency, our team does not search through closets or drawers, assemble bedding sets, or reuse soiled linens.

If a clean set isn't available, we'll leave the bedding unchanged.

Please put away dishes, cookware, food, and other loose items from the areas you'd like us to clean.

Our kitchen cleaning focuses on the surfaces and fixtures included in your service, such as countertops, sinks, stovetops, and accessible exterior surfaces.

Dishwashing, loading or unloading dishwashers, and putting away dishes are not part of our standard cleaning service.

A clear kitchen helps us clean more thoroughly without spending valuable time moving items around.

We want your pets and our cleaning team to feel safe and comfortable.

Please secure pets in a separate area when necessary, particularly if they're anxious around unfamiliar people or cleaning equipment, or might escape through an open door.

Pet feeding, walking, and cleaning up pet accidents or waste are not included in our standard service.

Please make sure our team can enter your home at the scheduled arrival time.

If you won't be home, provide any necessary gate codes, entry instructions, or other access information in advance.

Please also ensure that water and electricity are available, that the areas scheduled for cleaning can be accessed safely, and that sinks, drains, and toilets are in proper working condition.

Clogged drains, backed-up sinks, and blocked or overflowing toilets must be addressed before your cleaning appointment. Our team does not perform plumbing repairs, unclog drains or toilets, or clean up sewage backups.

For safety and sanitation reasons, affected fixtures or areas may need to be skipped until the issue has been resolved.

Although the terms cleaning service and housekeeping are sometimes used interchangeably, they don't always mean the same thing.

Professional cleaning focuses on cleaning and maintaining your home's designated surfaces and spaces, including tasks such as dusting, sanitizing appropriate surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, and bathroom and kitchen cleaning, according to your scheduled service.

Housekeeping may involve additional household responsibilities such as laundry, organizing belongings, washing dishes, and general daily tidying.

At Gleamr, we specialize in professional residential cleaning.

This distinction helps us provide consistent service, accurate scheduling, and the attention to detail our clients expect.

To keep our services focused, efficient, and consistent, the following tasks are not included:

• Decluttering and organizing: Picking up scattered belongings, sorting personal items, or organizing closets, drawers, and storage areas.

• Dishwashing: Washing, drying, loading, unloading, or putting away dishes and cookware.

• Laundry: Washing, drying, folding, ironing, or putting away clothing and linens.

• Searching for bedding: Finding sheets, assembling linen sets, or reusing soiled bedding.

• Pet care and waste cleanup: Feeding, walking, bathing pets, or cleaning up pet accidents and waste.

• Moving heavy furniture: Lifting or moving large, heavy, or unsafe items.

• Outdoor cleaning and maintenance: Cleaning patios, yards, driveways, sidewalks, exterior windows, or other outdoor areas, as well as gardening, landscaping, and general exterior maintenance.

• Plumbing issues and backups: Unclogging sinks, drains, or toilets; addressing plumbing problems; or cleaning up sewage backups.

• Hazardous cleaning: Handling bodily waste, hazardous substances, or other unsafe conditions.

These exclusions help our team focus on the professional cleaning tasks included in your appointment.

The exact scope of your service depends on your booking and any arrangements confirmed in advance.

We understand that every home is different.

If you have a particular area you'd like us to prioritize or a special request, please let us know before your appointment.

We're happy to review your request and determine whether it can be accommodated within your scheduled service, requires additional time, or falls outside the services we provide.

Advance communication helps us plan appropriately and avoid misunderstandings on cleaning day.

One of the best ways to maximize the value of your cleaning service is to make sure our team can get straight to work.

When personal belongings are put away, surfaces are accessible, fresh linens are ready, and entry arrangements are confirmed, we can dedicate more of your scheduled time to the cleaning itself.

The goal isn't for you to do our job. It's to help us do our job better.
